Taiwan – Taipei April 2009
A review of what happen there~

Day 1 6/4/09
Met at the airport at 6am, bound for boarding at 0810 hrs.
Had breakfast at Coffeebean before going boarding.
Airline took was China Airline which i think is generally gd in general in terms of its service, food and entertainment available.

By the time we check in our spa resort at Bei Tou it was already 3 plus. Transportation was available from the resort to the Bei Tou/Xin Bei Tou Station. Went down the hill and had a nice lunch at a random shop.

Went back to the resort to make a phone call to the travel agent tat is supposed to pick us up the following day before going down the hill again. To be honest, we are abit ma fan but then the receptionist and the driver are very patient; Thumbs up!
The driver send us to BeiTou Station then we took the rail to Dan Shui following by a long bus trip to Yu Ren Ma Tou. It was a worthwhile trip though with an amazing sight of the lover’s bridge as well as a delicious dinner at one of the “cafe/resturant” there.
*should go there especially with yor bf/gf & remember to try the resturant/cake located on the extreme right when walking down the bridge.

Manage to get the last transport back to the resort and of course had a nice hot bath. Feeling was shiok! especially when the weather outside was like 16-17 degree.

Dan Shui Yu Ren Ma Tou:

As mention, go there with yor bf/gf. Nice place to take picture.
Spend sometime in the cafe for dinner or snacks otherwise the trip will be abit wasted.

Overall comment: Try the resturant/cafe located on the extreme right when facing the “shops” !!!!

New Year Resolution

Long long long time since i did something to dis web site…

Been “quite happening” at least for the month Dec ~
I shall begin with my “christmas present” tat dear n me bought for ourself.
A Dslr Canon Camera 450D Kit~
Happen to discuss with Rebec that I am interested in getting a new camera.
And Tada we got ourself the camera ~ “Anywae i think it is a gd buy cause i make full use of it.

Back to my “happening December”~
1) Ended my 2nd year exam on 1st Dec*
2) Back to work on the 2nd ~
3) Recalled for reservist on 12th Dec – 19th
4) Celebrate Chen long & Beng How Bday on the 14th
5) Dinner at Hey Hey hotpot with sch mate to celebrate Wai Xiang B’day 19th
6) Photos taking of Orchard Christmas lighting 20th
7) Failure tanning at Sentosa ~ 21st
8) Jewel Box dinner for Christmas Eve 
9) Invited to Val’s poly mate’s chalet ~” Thx for the invitation” 25th
10) Met camp mates for christmas dinner and bowling 
And Finally NYE
Dinner at Hey Hey hotpot “again” following by chilling at Stanley’s Pub

Chinese Garden 2008

 

its been awhile since we guys & gfs meetup got dinner.
– ah tan jio for dinner
– ah hui suggested the location
– I suggested the after meal outting @ chinese garden.

 

Supposed to meet for dinner @ 7pm at Blooges at Science Park.
Me and boon was late cause we lost our way there thx to lousy road guidance by ah hui.
Got some free side dish and drinks thx to ah hui’s fren ( resturant manager )
Admosphere of the resturant is pretty gd, a gd place to chilli out at for a drink and to watching sporting events but however the food was jus soso.  

 

Miss the fireworks display at the chinese garden cause by the time we reached there, it was already 10pm
ah tan & her gf; jolin stayed outside and waited for us for abt an hour. Pai seh ah.
Next year got chance den u go again ba.

Been to jurong bird park during aug.
Wanted to go there all along to c bird bird but Rebec dun wan.
Dunno why we went there; Left home at 8am !!!! OMG earlier then my sch timing.
But all this is worth it.
Try the breakfast show if you happen to be visiting Jurong Bird park.
Thumbs up for the breakfast ( Delicious ) n for the FOC show. ( Get to do a fortune telling, ducks feeding & parrots photos session ) FOC.

Happen to have a bad flue tat day -.-

Dinner with her bestie n me.  Got a 50% discount thx to the gers ex colleague.
Gd food, should try.
Went to a Ktv pub after tat.

20th is spend with Bec alone. Bak Kut Teh for lunch – the best I had. Tats why i bring her there~
Its near PSA pass office at Kepal Rd. Outrum Bak kut Teh if i m not wrong.

 

22nd ~ Fireworks Festival by team france. My 2nd present for Dear.

Failed to get any gift. Got a Sailor Moon handfan ! OLD SCH n cheapo haha

This experience is sooooo much different from any other fireworks show I seen.
So close, as if its falling on me!
Although I overpaid for the sold out tickets. But i think its still worth it.
No need to sqeeze with the bangala outside.
Confort seating and “luckly” weather. Passing drizzle before the show.
Phew!

To my surpise; even the box alone worth $$$ ( According to bec’s dad )

Saw dis Jacques Lemans F1 edition watch online. fall in love with it.
Clicks away from purchasing it online ( SAVES $200++ )
Tried it at Taka department store selling the exact watch.
Result : Looks bad on me.. Frame is too big.

Bought this DKNY Automatic watch on the same day after trying the Jacques Lemans watch.
Pending over 2 DKNY of different catergory.
Choose dis after some thoughts.

On our way to vivo Golden Village to buy tickets for Make things happen.
After entering from the carpark ( B1 )
I saw City Chain n suggested to take a look.
Saw it tried it, okie we bought it. haha
Memory rewind – Shop assistance; you all are the 1st one who tried dis watch, all store onli have 1 piece, today jus arrive.

Finally it’s reaching the end …

And yes Formula 1 is coming to Singapore.

Millions spent , loss predicted in the 1st year but who cares…

I m back !
but not for any updates…
Too clumsy enough to knock my hand with my leg against the the table.
too hard to explain, jus too stupid enough to do this stun.

Jus came back from a nice swim @ Tamp Safra.
Feeling gd. Seems to gain alot of weight recently.
Urgent need of more exercise for my coming IPPT during my ICT.
Target: Silver Minimum.

Maybe if i have to mood again to update my blog…
I will type more later…

how do u define rest ?

Term 2 exam comes to an end on the 22nd july.
For some of my course mate, they still have a sub paper to take on the 26th.

My holiday BEGINS !
23rd till today. On the 25th, my 3rd working day which is a friday, I m already exhausted.
My energy i used to have seems to left my body for ?????

Maybe I “relax” too much during my exam break…..
Anywae sch will start again on 11th Aug.
TImetable is 98% schedue in the afternoon session 2-5pm slot.
Change of my lifestyle yet again….
Morning ~ work …
Noon ~ sch
Evening ~ Hopefully I can
1) Put my legs in my running shoe 
2) Put on my swimming trunk

I need exercise !!! I need more oxygen ~
My stamina has fall ever since i stop running for abt a year plus… 
From 42km onwards till now … I could onli drag myself to complete 5km…

Come end of Aug, i will be helping jj to take his ippt.. HOPEFULLY as promise i could help him get a silver!! $200.
As for me I will take mine during my In Camp Training @ Dec.

Jus someupdate abt the lastest concert i went.
Gary Chao Ge ~ 2008 Best Best Vocal Artist

Abt a week ago, Gary was voted best vocal artist at taiwan annual event.
Although there is lotsa of news abt his concert thru tv and 933. I am not beri endu to it to be honest.
Maybe its due to my exam which is on the coming tuesday and so on.

Decided to “dress up” for this concert and wore a shirt and felt tat it was pretty appropriate for this kind of “event” haa

Anywae the concert started at 830…
Started with Superwomen… Plain Vocal Thumbs up for his vocal. No doubt abt it.
Follows by a long run of songs~ can’t remember in order but
Super Sunshine,起床歌,无辜,单数,爱爱,3721,Superman,两只恋人,天使忌妒的生活,背叛,不浪漫的家伙,世界唯一的你,刮目相看,数到五答应我,梁山伯与茱丽叶,My way and some others which i can’t remember… Jus tooo many. 
*Wad i think of the concert.
GD! his voice is reali WOOT!!! Swee la, “Bo Kia Jing Ho Tia”
The concept of the concert is beri Disco or ” 歌台 pattern.
Dance moves was limited ( But did something else, Kong Fu )
His duet with his gd fren “piano, 易桀齐, 卓文萱 is much better compare to other artist concert tat i have seen.
卓文萱 certainly noe how to entertain the crowd by rocking the whole concert hall with her powerful voice.
易桀齐 live performance was gd but Gary vocal is much better especially when they r doing a duet of a canto song.
Althought the concert setting was not appealing on 1st sight …
but
the concert is still worth every single penny tat is being paid for …
10 reasons why …
1) His the new vocal king in chinese music industry
2) he strip! lol ?
3) 2.5 hours of Songs lotsa of song from Ge Ge blue , Superwomen And Super Sunshine
4) His live vocal was as gd as CD if not better
5) His special guest 卓文萱, 易桀齐  are equally amazing
6) The crowd were in their high mood despite mostly seated down. Screams are loud!
7) Stage were extended to reach out to the fans … Close view of him and 卓文萱!!
8) He try to silence the crowd but he simply failed because the crowd were too loud
9) Saw Felicia Chin, 2 other mediacrop male artist and 杨宗纬 !
10) My view was gd !!!!
